With its base in the Welsh capital, the College is dedicated to the task of equipping men and women for effective ministry and mission in a constantly changing world.

An important element of that work is preparing people for service as Christian ministers with the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Baptist Union of Wales. We are also privileged to be providing training for some students preparing for service in other denominations.

Our tutors are both specialists in various biblical and theological disciplines, and experienced ministers deeply committed to the life and mission of the church.

The Baptist College in Cardiff is a good place to study because students not only share in the life and worship of a lively Christian community, but they also enjoy access to the resources of the Department of Religious Studies and Theology at Cardiff University.

This combination creates a supportive and stimulating environment for ministerial training and formation. Here people can deepen their faith as they discern more clearly the ways in which they are being called to share in God’s mission.

We also offer flexible training programmes for church members who are preparing to be preachers and pastors in local churches. Details of our Pathways course, running since 2014, can be found via the Hands-on Training tab.

If you would like to discuss which course of study might be most appropriate for you, please contact the Co-Principals, Dr Rosa Hunt – rh@swbc.org.uk or Dr Ed Kaneen – ek@swbc.org.uk
