SWBC is seeking a new Tutor

Wednesday 13 February, 2019

South Wales Baptist College prepares candidates (mainly from the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Baptist Union of Wales) for Christian Ministry. It engages with churches both within and beyond South Wales in seeking to facilitate the mission of Christ.

The College works in partnership with Cardiff University, which has a strong department of Religion and Theology, where College staff share in providing teaching.

In preparation for the retirement of the Principal, the College wishes to appoint a suitably qualified Tutor, who will work as a member of the staff team responsible for delivering the College’s programme of ministerial training and formation.

The Tutor will hold a research degree in Theology, or a related subject. The College seeks to appoint someone who will be able to teach in the areas of Missiology, Pioneer Mission or Practical Theology.

The College will also consider applications from those with specialist expertise in Old Testament Studies or Church History.

Applications are welcome both from individuals seeking a full-time appointment, and from candidates exploring the possibility of working on a job-share basis.

It is hoped that the person or persons appointed will be able to commence working at the College on the 1st September 2019.

An information pack, containing information about how to apply for this post can be downloaded from the College website here: 2019 Information Pack for Tutor Post. The pack is also available in Welsh here: 2019 Pecyn Gwybodaeth Swydd y Tiwtor.

  • Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 8th March 2019.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Friday 22nd March 2019.
  • Interviews will be held on Friday 12th April 2019.
