Welcome to the South Wales Baptist College.
The South Wales Baptist College exists to equip people to share in God’s mission. We welcome women and men who are preparing for Christian ministry, from both the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Baptist Union of Wales. Students are able to follow either college-based or congregation-based training pathways. The college also welcomes open option students who are exploring the nature of God’s call upon their lives. Students both share in the life and worship of the college community, and also have access to the teaching and resources of the Department of Religious Studies and Theology at Cardiff University. This creates a supportive and stimulating environment for ministerial training and formation, where people can deepen their faith and discern the ways in which they are being called to share in God’s mission. We have been training people for various forms of Christian ministry for over 200 years, and the College's approach blends training for contemporary ministry with a rich heritage of spirituality and pastoral leadership going back to 1807. The College’s long-standing partnership with Cardiff University means that a full range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree courses are available (BA, BTh , MA , MTh, MPhil, PhD).
